HOUSTON, May 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Newfield Exploration Company (NYSE: NFX) and the Newfield Foundation today announced the donation of $50,000 to the Red Cross Society of China to help victims of recent earthquakes in the area of the Sichuan Province. Newfield's wholly-owned subsidiary, Newfield China, LDC, has been operating in China since 1997 and opened a Beijing office in 2006. China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and PetroChina are Newfield's major business partners in China.
